Iman Shumpert is being accused of hitting a woman he wanted to leave his home, according to TMZ. They’ve obtained bodycam footage from officers responding to the incident around 4:30 a.m. last week.
Police say dispatch initially received a call regarding a domestic dispute, where they discovered Iman Shumpert, Joanna Donnejour, and another woman. Donnejour spoke with police and claims the altercation happened during a discussion about Iman communicating with other women.
She claims that during the dispute, Iman dragged her by her wrist and feet to the staircase in an attempt to make her leave.
Donnejour had a ride en route when police arrived but said she wanted to press charges against Shumpert for allegedly “hitting her.” Police say they also spoke to the other woman on-site. She claims Iman asked Donnejour to leave twice, then “grabbed Ms. Donnejour by the wrist to escort her out, but this was not done in an aggressive manner.”
Cops claim there were no visible marks or injuries on Donnejour’s body, and no charges were filed due to lack of evidence. In the bodycam footage, you can hear Donnejour telling Iman, “See you in court, and on Instagram in the morning.”
Iman spoke to TMZ following the incident and said, “I asked her to leave several times after I witnessed her damaging personal property… This matter was quickly closed that night by the police after they did their investigation.”
