An Indianapolis tattoo artist, Nhi Kha Nguyen, has been arrested after a deadly shooting in the city’s downtown that took the life of a father of five. The event happened last month, when a man approached a woman among a group of her friends, according to police sources.

The arrest was made on June 5 concerning the murder case that took place on May 24 in the South Meridian Street bar district.

Gregory M. Anderson, 32, approached a woman in Nguyen’s group of friends at about 3:20 a.m. When one of her friends told him to back off, he threatened the girl by saying, “butt out,” and began fighting.

According to police reports, Nguyen pulled out a pistol and shot Anderson, as well as a male and female bystander. Nguyen fled the scene but was immediately spotted by the police patrolling the area.

While one of the injured persons did not make it to the hospital, where he passed away because of his wounds, the other victims managed to survive.

Five children survive Anderson.

Charges against Nguyen have not yet been specified in the source. Whether or not Nguyen has legal representation remains unclear.
