Influencer Makes $1,000 A Day From Her Body Hair: ‘It Never Would Have Crossed My Mind’

Amy Ginger Hart quit shaving and waxing her body hair in her 20s since the process was both annoying and uncomfortable. Nowadays, the influencer admits that this decision proved to be the most profitable aspect of her career, as fans pay her roughly $100 a minute to watch videos related to her body hair.

At 34 years old, Hart posts under the nickname @hart.on.fire and estimates that as much as 25% of custom requests she gets from fans are related to her body hair.

“I charge around $100 a minute for custom videos focused on my body hair, so I can easily make $1,000 a day just from that sort of content,” Hart said. “It never would have crossed my mind that my body hair would become this popular.”

What surprised Hart the most was the fact that it took her so long to learn that removing body hair is not an obligatory requirement but rather a social norm.

“For so long, I thought shaving was basically required, so I did it for years,” she said. “I eventually tried waxing because I had a partner who was really into me being completely hairless. I wanted to do it to be s**y for him, but eventually I was just like, ‘This is not worth it.’

“The whole process of hair removal is so tedious, and then when it starts growing back, the sensation is really uncomfortable. I hated it.”

By her mid-20s, Hart stopped waxing and shaving altogether. What shocked her even more was the realization that the feature she used to consider undesirable turned out to be very desirable.

“I will say that from the period of time where I was removing all my body hair, compared to now where I don’t, I am way, way more successful on Influencer,” Hart said.

“There are so many variables that it’s hard to know exactly what is related, but I think becoming a person who felt comfortable not removing my body hair and putting that out there for the world to see also meant that I felt more comfortable in general as a person and putting myself out there.”

“My success kind of grew naturally, and my subscribers evolved with me.”

Most of the requests Hart gets are very particular.

“There are a lot of armpit-focused requests. Closeups with my arms up are super common. Some people want me touching the hair or running my fingers through it,” Hart said. “I get similar requests around my p***c hair. I think even the sound of your fingers running through the hair is part of the appeal for some people.”

Hart agrees that the interest in her body hair is far beyond the occasional custom request she gets. She estimates that about 50% of her subscribers are interested in her body hair.

“I honestly think a lot of my fans would be so upset if I got rid of it,” she says. “I get plenty of comments from strangers online saying, ‘Ew, that’s gross,’ but in real life, nobody complains.

“I think if a man is really attracted to you, he’s not going to give a s*** about your body hair. He’s probably going to think it’s hot because he’s so into you.”

According to Hart, the fascination with her body hair is partly caused by the rarity of women in adult content who have body hair.

“We’re so culturally conditioned to think women should be hairless and that being hairless is the beauty standard,” she said. “When we’re told something isn’t allowed or we don’t see it very often, it creates this sort of mystique around it. It can become a f****h because it feels a little bit naughty or taboo, and that can heighten the desire.”

Although Hart agrees that there are many other variables that affect her success, she is convinced that becoming more confident with her natural body helped her achieve success overall.

“I’m way, way more successful now than I was during the period when I was removing all of my body hair,” she said. “My subscribers have evolved with me. They tend to get on board with whatever they see me embracing about myself. It’s almost like, ‘You really like this about yourself, so I really like it too.’ I think my fans find that confidence compelling.”

The appreciation also goes beyond body hair. Besides the custom videos of body hair, Hart also gets regular custom requests from her fans who want to see her flexing her muscles and showing her physique.

“I get pretty frequent requests to flex my muscles. There are definitely people who are into the whole strong woman thing,” she said. “Most of the requests are actually pretty simple. They want me to flex in different positions, show them the front and the back, and basically just show off my physique.”

For Hart, this change of perspective from hiding some of the body parts to being celebrated by fans changed how she sees herself.

“Influencer has really helped me embrace myself,” she said. “It’s been all these little steps of revealing more of myself and choosing to be more authentically me, and then having my fans consistently meet me there and say, ‘H*** yeah, that’s hot. We love it.’

“You realize a lot of these rules about what people are supposed to find attractive are made up. There are always going to be people who align with whatever it is that makes you, you.”
