Influencer Robbed of 100k in Los Angeles: “They Took All My Louis Vuitton Bags, All My Expensive Shoes, and Jewellery”

British social media influencer Lauren Alexis has reportedly spent approximately £250,000 on security since becoming a professional, as repeated incidents of stalking, robberies, and break-ins have followed her fame across the UK and around the world.

Alexis was a famous influencer before joining the adult content site OnlyFans in 2020, earning hundreds of thousands of pounds per month since launching her account. However, she claims that alongside the money, designer bags, and millions of views, there’s a dark side.

“I’ve had people follow me before,” Alexis explained. “I’ve had people wait outside places I’m at, or come to my house.” “If people know you make money, you’re obviously a target.”

In one of the scariest incidents, a stranger approached the concierge at the penthouse she was staying in Essex with a picture of her and asked if she lived there. The worker confirmed that she does live there, even in the penthouse on the top floor.

The stranger appeared again in the early morning. “He came, I’m assuming, at about one or two in the morning, and he was ringing the intercom, saying my name constantly,” Alexis shared. “It was so creepy.” “He was like, ‘I know who lives here and I’m going to wait for her,'” Alexis’s manager, who was with her at the time, recalled. Alexis said the breach scared her so much that she decided to move out of the penthouse.

It was far from being the last case. As Alexis left a London nightclub after some event, she noticed a guy standing outside. “He was just like, ‘Oh, I knew you were here. I’ve been waiting for you.’ It was really weird.”

Her security told her that it was time to take the matter more seriously. “He turned around and said, ‘You should have someone with you. You are a small, petite young girl. You shouldn’t be leaving these places without somebody having your back.'”

Since then, close protection became a regular thing for Alexis. “We’ve had so many situations where people, when I’ve been at parties or a club or abroad, have tried coming over to me or grab me or touch me,” she explained. “I always have someone with me. They might not be right by my side, but I’ve always got him there.” “Even if I’m going just for dinner and drinks with the girls, I would have a security person at the same location meeting me afterward,” she added. “If we were going for drinks, just me and my friend, they would still be there.”

Top-notch security couldn’t stop Alexis’s biggest robbery. During a three-week trip to Los Angeles, Alexis and her team stayed in a luxurious Airbnb. When they returned home on their last day from dinner, which lasted about 90 minutes, windows had been smashed, and the whole place had been robbed. “From probably just me alone, it was about 100 grand worth of valuables that they stole,” Alexis shared. “They took all my Louis Vuitton bags, all my expensive shoes and jewelry. It was a lot.” Her passport was also stolen, making it impossible for her to travel directly to Qatar for the Misfits event, where she was supposed to perform, because she had to wait for a new one.

However, the lost things were not the most terrifying experience. As Alexis and her team were inside the house still inspecting everything, the robbers returned. “We were in the house, and they came back. We could hear them downstairs,” Alexis explained. She locked herself in the main bedroom while her close protection officer waited in the corridor in case they would come upstairs. No one was recovered.

The robbery kept Alexis from leaving LA immediately for Qatar because she had to get her passport first. She said she was very cautious and did not share her Airbnb, location, or the robbery itself on social networks. “If I’m in a hotel, I’ll never post it. If I’m at a restaurant, I’ll never post it until afterward,” Alexis said. “If I’m doing Snapchat content, it’ll go out a few days later.”

Another time, Alexis experienced a robbery during her trip to Marbella, followed by an attempted burglary at her English home, which, in her opinion, was the “creepiest” experience. Just two months after moving into her new house, two masked men in black invaded the place while Alexis’s brother and manager were still inside. The police suspected the burglar had watched the house before Alexis arrived and said, “As soon as we left, within five or ten minutes, they broke in through the only window in the house that didn’t have an alarm system,” Alexis explained. She believed they knew how to get in and brought their own ladder, and the surveillance cameras showed two masked men in black clothes.

Her brother watched TV in the bedroom when one of the intruders opened his bedroom door. He was sure that it was one of Alexis’s friends until he noticed muddy footprints and a mask on his face. The intruders left quickly once they were spotted, leaving the designer handbags unharmed. The psychological impact lasted for a long time. “I’d sit in my car for an hour and wait for someone else to get home because I was too scared of getting out,” Alexis shared. “I’d call someone to meet me on the driveway because I was so terrified.”

Now Alexis is protected by heavy security, surveillance cameras, and three big dogs: two Rottweilers and one German Shepherd. She continues using close protection for events and appearances as needed.

All the things notwithstanding, Alexis doesn’t want to see herself as a special target just because she is a famous OnlyFans creator. “I know I would be targeted because of what I have,” she explained, “but I think a lot of it was just bad timing for me. I’ve just had a string of really bad luck.”

What has changed for her, Alexis believes, is the way she divides her public and private lives. For a woman whose profession requires her to share her life online, Alexis understands that showing exactly where it happens comes with a terrible price. “If people know you make money,” she said, “you’re obviously a target.”
