Fans of UK music sensation J Hus have something special to look forward to as he leads this year’s Wireless Festival on July 13th in London, UK. Joining him onstage will be Atlanta-based rapper 21 Savage, who promises an exciting show for fans.

But that’s not all; today marks another milestone for J Hus, as he releases new visuals for the fan-favorite single “Alien Girl,” taken from his critically acclaimed album Beautiful and Brutal Yard. This dual music video is more than just a visual feast; it’s also an interactive experience created in conjunction with Sony Music’s 4th Floor Creative team, Black Butter, P4SD, and Picnic Studio.

The creative concept features two interwoven videos with mirrored narratives, showing Alien Girl’s world alongside Brutal Boy’s. Viewers are allowed to explore both galaxies while immersed in themes of self-discovery, isolation, and sexual fantasy. To add to the excitement, viewers may obtain a score depending on their time spent in either galaxy, which unlocks a 20% discount on official products as well as the chance to win tickets to Hus’ highly anticipated Wireless show.

Picnic Studio, recognized for its clean 2D animation style, created the video’s distinctive interactive aspects, while P4SD built and implemented all interactive components. Picnic explained the motivation for the project, saying, “We listened to the song and absorbed the lyrics… and it spawned a whole concept of two videos in two worlds playing out in the exact same time and composition but with two different ends of the sexual anxiety spectrum.”

J Hus, famed for his genre-bending style and fascinating lyrics, made waves last summer with his third studio album, Beautiful and Brutal Yard (B.A.B.Y.). The album debuted at number one on the UK’s Official Albums Chart and featured a remarkable list of contributors such as Drake, Burna Boy, and Popcaan, among others.

Beautiful and Brutal Yard immediately became one of 2023’s most celebrated albums, receiving accolades from both critics and fans. From garnering a Mercury Prize nomination to being dubbed “The Soundtrack To Summer 2023” by HotNewHipHop, the album’s influence was clear.

Notably, former US President Barack Obama chose the smash track “Who Told You” ft. Drake is his number one song on his “Favorite Songs of Summer 2023” playlist.

J Hus reflects on the album’s title, reminding us that music is his baby, whether violent, beautiful, or somewhere in between. J Hus’ third studio album has cemented his status as a visionary musician, poised to hit the stage at Wireless Festival and captivate audiences with his unmistakable brilliance.
