Jamie Lee Komoroski Charged For Killing Samantha Miller and Injurying Aric Hutchinson Right After Their Wedding

When the couple was leaving their reception on Friday night, an allegedly intoxicated driver struck a golf cart with her car, breaking up the union of the two young people, according to ABC News. The groom suffered injuries while the bride passed away.

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office told South Carolina TV station WCSC that the suspect, Jamie Lee Komoroski, was traveling well over the 25 mph speed limit at the time of the collision.

The Charleston County Coroner informed WCSC that the 34-year-old bride Samantha Miller was pronounced dead at the scene. Along with the bride and groom, two other people got hurt in the collision.

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina has released a photo of Jamie Lee Komoroski’s mugshot from April 29, 2023. Komoroski faces three counts of drunk driving causing death and reckless vehicular homicide.

Miller’s mother-in-law has set up a GoFundMe page in the hopes of raising funds for groom Aric Hutchinson’s medical expenses as well as the bride’s funeral. The fund has already raised more than double its goal.

On the GoFundMe page, Annette Hutchinson described how she was given Aric’s wedding ring in a plastic bag at the hospital five hours after Sam had placed the ring on his finger and they had exchanged vows. Aric no longer has his true love, Samantha Miller.

Komoroski, 25, was charged with driving under the influence causing death and reckless vehicular homicide, according to the Associated Press.
