Jeffrey Roberts: Long Beach Man Drives To Utah To Kill Brother, Set Fire To His Home Before Dying In Police Shootout

According to the Los Angeles Times, a California man got killed after being caught on camera shooting and killing his estranged brother in Utah. The shooting was captured on video by Ring doorbell.

A 66-year-old man named Jeffrey Roberts is responsible for the shooting and killing of his brother, Scott, according to police. Roberts reportedly drove from Long Beach, California to his brother’s home in North Ogden, Utah.

After Scott opened the front door and engaged in a brief conversation, Roberts allegedly began shooting. Scott’s wife got shot while inside her house. She is in stable condition at the hospital.

Neighbors called police after hearing gunshots, according to local media. When the police arrived, Roberts opened fire. Roberts was killed when the cops opened fire.

The Webber County Attorney’s Office posted a YouTube video of the shooting. It is recommended that users use caution.

The house was reportedly burned down by Roberts using road flares. Currently, it is unclear why the shooting occurred.
