Kehlani expressed her disapproval of Israel’s assault on the Gaza Strip in response to Hamas‘ attack last weekend.

Showing solidarity with Palestine, Kehlani voiced her support as the reported death toll in the region reached approximately 1,800.

Kehlani, uploaded a video on her Instagram stories to express their support for Palestine while also criticizing other celebrities who are remaining silent on the matter.

“To my peers and people that are in the spaces I’m in, what the fck is wrong with y’all?” Kehlani said. “You’re being silent for the sake of money and business like that amounts to what the fck is going on. There’s an insane amount of unchecked privilege on literal f*cking display and it is gut-wrenching. It is disgusting.”

The Bay Area artist also posted two additional Instagram stories in which they explained the global significance of this situation.

“It’s the way there isn’t actually much of anything more important going on in humanity than this right now,” Kehlani said. “This is an everybody issue. if you’re just swiping thru stories and kissing your teeth, saying “thoughts and prayers ask urself why u aren’t enraged… infuriated. i hope you feel ridiculous reading this.”

Kehlani continues, “i’ve only ever deleted posts when someone close points out something potentially not actually aligning with what they know i mean or feel, not because shits changin up. it’s free palestine till it’s backwards.”

I’m Jewish and my parents are from Israel and they even agree that Israel needs to stop the violence.
