Following an exceptional debut appearance at DreamCon, Kikicheea finds herself riding the wave of unexpected momentum. Everything she sold at the convention under her brand, Kiki’s Attire, was bought, and she has said this experience has completely changed how she views the future.
In this exclusive interview with Where Is The Buzz, Kikicheea talks about the overwhelming interest in her designs, dream collaborations, celebrities she wants to wear her products, and expansion plans for her brand, Kiki’s Attire.
Sold Out and (Almost) Off Their Backs
Demand during DreamCon not only met but also surpassed all expectations. “Absolutely! DreamCon honestly exceeded every expectation we had,” says Kikicheea. “We completely sold out of our Kiki’s Attire merchandise, and the support was unreal.”
How out of this world? “It got to the point where people were asking the staff working at our booth if they could literally take the clothes off their backs and sell them because we had already sold out of those sizes,” she tells us. “Seeing that kind of excitement and demand for something you’ve created is an incredible feeling, and it’s something I’ll never forget.”
Although the collection had high hopes, its popularity took Kikicheea by surprise. “While we hoped the collection would do well, I definitely didn’t expect it to sell out that quickly. It showed us that there’s a huge audience looking for high-quality anime-inspired fashion that feels unique and wearable.”
This response has already changed her plans. “Because of that response, we’re already increasing production and expanding the types of pieces we’re designing so we can better meet demand at future events.”
Shooting Her Shot at Hot Topic and BoxLunch
Asked about brands that she would like to collaborate with over the next year, Kikicheea was quick to name her favorites. “If Kiki’s Attire could collaborate with any brand over the next year, I’d absolutely love to work with companies like Hot Topic or BoxLunch,” she said. “Those brands have built amazing communities around anime, gaming, and pop culture, which aligns perfectly with what Kiki’s Attire represents.”
Why does she think collaboration with them would be awesome? “A collaboration would be a dream because we’d be able to create exclusive collections that combine our fashion-forward approach with the fandoms people already love.”

Also, Kikicheea knows very well who she would like to see wearing her designs. Who are these people? “Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, Ice Spice, and Melanie Martinez.”
What unites them? “They each have such bold, creative, and expressive personal styles that perfectly match the energy behind my designs. They’re also fans of anime and aren’t afraid to experiment with fashion, so I think they’d bring the clothing to life in their own unique ways while reaching audiences that appreciate both streetwear and pop culture.”
From Booth to Lifestyle Brand (Yes, Shoes Are Coming)
So, what will happen next to Kiki’s Attire? It looks like Kikicheea has lots of ideas of where she wants to go with her brand. “After the success of DreamCon, the goal is to continue expanding into even more conventions, trading card shows, anime expos, gaming events, and anywhere that celebrates pop culture,” she says. “We’re already looking into opportunities to travel internationally and vend at conventions in other countries, which is something I’m incredibly excited about.”
Overwhelming demand for her shirts inspires her to produce more. “The response to our shirts, especially, has inspired us to design even more pieces with a similar style. We’re currently working on expanding our catalog with new collections, including more comfortable two-piece loungewear sets that still capture the Kiki’s Attire aesthetic.”
But it’s not everything. “We’re also exploring completely new product categories, including footwear, which is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.”
In general, it all seems to be leading somewhere. “My vision has always been to build Kiki’s Attire into a full lifestyle brand, and DreamCon really confirmed that we’re headed in the right direction,” she said. “The support from everyone there has motivated us to dream even bigger, and I can’t wait to show everyone what’s coming next.”
