LeBron spoke with the media at the school for the big day yesterday. LeBron did an exclusive interview with CNNs Don Lemon. They spoke about the school, being black in America, and Donald Trump. In this interview, LeBron believes Donald Trump dividing the country through sports.
LeBron is referencing to the National Football League. When Colin Kaepernick took a knee for police brutality and injustices in America. Donald Trump changed the narrative to Colin Kaepernick disrespecting the American flag and our troops. When Kaepernick first started protesting. He was sitting down during the national anthem. He took a knee because a former soldier Nate Boyer told him it would be more respectful to our troops.
The three-time NBA champion was also asked whether he’d sit down with Trump, who James once called a “bum” for disinviting Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry from the White House.
“I would never sit across from him. I’d sit across from Barack though,” he replied.
