LeBron James “I Promise School” is showing drastic improvements from students in their state wide testing after one year of being established. They are 240 3rd and 4th graders in the school and their test scores went from last to one of the state’s best scores in just a matter of months.

In reading, last year the 3rd and 4th graders had initially scored in the lowest percentile, the 1%. Now the 3rd graders have ascended to the 9th percentile and the 4th graders moved to the 16th!

According to the New York Times, The 3rd graders jumped from the 1% to the 18th percentile and 4th graders moved from the 2% to the 30th percentile in the math department.

When asked about the incredible improvements, LeBron told the Times, “These kids are doing an unbelievable job, better than we all expected.”

He added, “When we first started, people knew I was opening a school for kids. Now people are going to really understand the lack of education they had before they came to our school.”

“People are going to finally understand what goes on behind our doors.”

So, what does go on behind their doors?

Everyone has been at LeBron throat as of recently for the Lakers not making the playoffs. Magic Johnson stepping down as president of basketball operations. LeBron means more than a game of basketball, he’s really out changing and saving people lives. That’s worth more than an NBA championship.
