Travis Hunter, who plays both wide receiver and cornerback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, gave his wife an extravagant Mother’s Day gift of a pink Mercedes G-Wagon.
Leanna Hunter revealed the gift in her Instagram post, writing, “For mommy, from daddy.”
The gift received varied reactions online. There were those who felt that Travis Hunter made the gift impractical considering how he just signed a deal worth $46.5 million and has a signing bonus of $30.5 million in a span of four years.
Then there are some who took the more positive route by assuming that Hunter is showering gifts because of his love and affection towards his wife.
The lavish Mother’s Day gift coincides with the off-season as Travis Hunter prepares himself for his second season in the National Football League (NFL). The team plans on increasing his playing time at cornerback. This move will be implemented especially since he is coming back from an injury during his first season.
