‘Lilo & Stitch’ Live-Action Enlists Courtney B. Vance To Play Cobra Bubbles

According to Deadline, two-time Emmy award-winning Courtney B. Vance will play Cobra Bubbles in Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch.

Cobra Bubbles is a former CIA agent turned social worker—though in an undercover way as he is still working for the government.

Vance joins Kahiau Machado, Sydney Agudong, and newcomer Maia Kealoha who got tapped as Lilo.

Disney has released any details about the live-action plot, but it appears the main characters from the 2002 animated film will return. The animated film grossed over $273 million at the global box office.

The role was voiced originally by Ving Rhames in films and various TV projects. The character got voiced by Terrence C. Carson, Kevin Michael Richardson, and Richard Epcar.

The Dean Fleischer Camp will direct the live-action film for Disney+ got written by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright from a previous draft by Mike Van Waes. Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich will produce for Rideback, with Ryan Halprin executive producing for the company.
