Love Island’s Alannah Keyser Cries on Camera as Ray J Says She Deserves a Second Chance

Alannah Keyser broke down during the interview while discussing her recent experience on Love Island USA Season 8 with rapper and talk show host Ray J.

Keyser became part of Love Island USA Season 8 as a Casa Amor bombshell in June 2026, but was cut out only a few days into the show because of a viral video in which she is seen singing a racial slur contained in Roddy Ricch’s song The Box.

In their conversation, Keyser expressed her opinion regarding the situation, saying that she was overwhelmed by hatred and death threats. She tries not to lose hope and focuses on the very few positive comments left.

When Ray J suggested that coming back to Love Island might make Keyser feel better, saying that if Love Island brought you back, that would be crazy, Keyser expressed her doubts, adding that the show probably doesn’t need her. Asked what happens next, Keyser said, Just move forward, adding that she doesn’t know what that means just yet.

The most emotional moment of the talk took place when Ray J explained his point of view. I don’t think you meant it like that. I watched the clip, he said, adding that he believed Keyser to be a well-raised young woman. In his explanation, the racial slur has a deep meaning associated with the long fight for freedom and respect, which, according to Ray J, was conducted decades ago, so young people might not fully understand it.

Keyser noted that she has never faced anything like this, although she constantly faces criticism from internet trolls. Ray J added that if he had a daughter when she was 15, she would be about the same age now, which influences how he talks to young girls.

Ray J also commented on the show and its management. I’m sorry that happened, and I’m sorry they let you go without letting you give your side of the story, he said, adding that producers should have allowed Keyser to speak up because the whole scandal began with just one screenshot posted by someone.

When Ray J was asked if people should be more forgiving of resurfacing clips, he called Keyser a really nice girl, but added that he didn’t find it cool anyway. He hopes for more forgiveness from the internet users because the comment section tends to become mean pretty quickly.
