A Metro Nashville Police Department school resource officer resigned after her husband, himself a Nashville officer, discovered explicit videos on her phone and reported her to the department, triggering an internal investigation that found she had sex with a sergeant inside the middle school where she was assigned to protect students.

Lisa Vidrios, 37, admitted to sexual encounters with Sgt. Stephen Holland approximately four times inside Madison Middle School while children were in the building, as well as twice in a police vehicle while on duty, according to an Office of Professional Accountability investigative summary reported by WKRN.

The investigation began May 26, 2025, when a complaint was filed against Vidrios and Holland, an 18-year department veteran most recently assigned to the tactical operations section, according to the OPA report obtained by WKRN. Both officers were decommissioned and stripped of police access the same day the department learned of the allegations, the department said.

According to disciplinary records obtained by FOX 17 News, the case unraveled after Angel Vidrios, Lisa Vidrios’ husband, grew suspicious when the couple’s Life360 location-sharing app showed his wife stopped in a parking lot near Topgolf. Investigators said he later found explicit videos, photographs and text messages on her phone, preserved the evidence on his own device and turned it over to the Office of Professional Accountability.

One video recovered during the investigation showed the pair having sex on a couch inside Vidrios’ school resource office. At the same time, staff members could be heard talking outside the door, according to the OPA summary reported by FOX 17 News. Vidrios acknowledged in a written statement that children were inside the building during the encounters, according to WKRN.

Investigators also reviewed video of the couple in Holland’s police vehicle, and Vidrios told the OPA the two had sex twice in the cruiser, including at least once in the parking lot of an abandoned hospital, according to the report.

Vidrios agreed to a pre-investigative settlement, approved in September 2025, that included a 30-day suspension for violating department policies on conduct unbecoming of an employee and devoting entire time to duty. She subsequently left the department, according to WKRN.

Internal investigators never interviewed Holland. While under investigation, he filed for an injured-on-duty pension, which was approved on Feb. 26, 2026, preventing an OPA interview from taking place, according to the report. The OPA determined Holland violated the same conduct policies and said he would be questioned if he returns to work for the department.

Vidrios and her husband moved to Nashville from San Diego. They graduated together from the Metro Nashville Police Training Academy in 2022, becoming the first married couple to do so, according to WKRN. Before her law enforcement career, Vidrios served nine years in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked for the San Diego Police Department. The department selected her to represent her graduating class in a 2022 promotional video.

A spokesperson for Mayor Freddie O’Connell’s office said first responders are expected to uphold a high standard of conduct and that failing to meet that standard is unacceptable, according to WKRN. Metro Nashville Public Schools referred questions about the matter to police.

Holland has not commented publicly, and Vidrios has not spoken publicly about the investigation.
