A former officer of the Metro Nashville Police Department is facing disciplinary measures following an investigation by the Office of Professional Accountability, which revealed that she had sexual encounters while working. The investigations showed that she had sex inside Metro Nashville’s Madison Middle School, where she served as a school resource officer.
Lisa Vidrios, who belongs to MNPD’s 2022 academy class and was once a U.S. Marine, was reportedly accused of having intimate relations with an unnamed MNPD officer in Madison Middle School, a metro police car, and other locations while on duty. According to the OPA investigation, four instances were recorded inside the school while the children and school staff were present.
The news outlet WKRN, which had access to the OPA investigative report, said that a complaint was lodged on May 26, 2025, against Vidrios and an officer with 18 years of experience. According to WKRN, video footage captured on Vidrios’ cell phone showed the couple in her school resource office, with staff outside the door. At the same time, Vidrios wrote in her statement that the children were in the building during the encounters.
The two officers lost their status as police officers following complaints in May 2025, and WKRN added that their access to the department’s premises was revoked immediately after the complaints were received.
According to WKRN, Lisa Vidrios entered into a settlement agreement with the department in September 2025 for violating the department’s unbecoming conduct policy and failing to pay full attention to her job responsibilities. She received a 30-day suspension before finally leaving the department.
Freddie O’Connell’s office in Nashville stated that responders should uphold a high standard of conduct in the workplace and that any failure to meet that standard was unacceptable. Questions regarding the matter were referred to the police by Metro Nashville Public Schools.
The OPA’s investigative report contains the allegations.
