Mia Khalifa sparked a discussion online following the upload of a video featuring around 60-70 Palestinians being discovered in a garbage truck at a West Bank checkpoint by Israeli police officers.
As she claims, the video depicts a form of abuse against Palestinians in custody, which provoked various responses from users.
“Do you realize that most of the reason we have 4k views of these crimes against humanity is because they film and distribute it themselves because they’re PROUD OF IT,” Mia Khalifa asked on X (formerly Twitter).
While some supported her point of view, others criticized Khalifa’s stance regarding the video.
“98% of genocide claims are wrong due to the fact that they misinterpret the events. In this case, people tried to sneak across the Israeli border in this vehicle. Looks like cartel-style activity,” one person wrote.
“It’s funny to me that this is who’s tweeting this,” another user asked sarcastically. “I’m sorry girl but nobody is ever going to take anything you say seriously. Internet footprint is beyond crazy sometimes.”
Nevertheless, some users did react negatively to the footage.
“Never seen humans cramped like this before,” someone wrote. “There are no words to describe how f—— angry I am and disgusted.”
