BLACK AND BLUE is a fast-paced action thriller about a rookie cop (Academy Award nominee Naomie Harris) who inadvertently captures the murder of a young drug dealer on her body cam. After realizing that the murder was committed by corrupt cops, she teams up with the one person from her community who is willing to help her (Tyrese Gibson) as she tries to escape both the criminals out for revenge and the police who are desperate to destroy the incriminating footage.
We had the opportunity to interview the director Deon Taylor and the stars of the film Naomie Harris and Tyrese Gibson. #DeonTaylor spoke about why Naomie character doesn’t see black or blue. Naomie Harris speaks on racism in America from a Londoner perspective. Tyrese talks about his upbringing in Watts, California. He also goes into detail to explain how the LAPD is corrupted. He brings up the Rodney King beating and how the LAPD might of had something to do with the late great Biggie murder.

They touch on corrupted police officers and the police officers who have integrity and try to make a difference everyday in their community.
