Naruto Franchise: The Strongest Hokage Ranked

The Hokage is generally regarded as the strongest shinobi in the Hidden Leaf village. The position was created shortly after the creation of Konoha by Hashirama Senju, one of the village’s founders. The title was intended to go to his co-founder, Madara Uchiha, but the village’s population instead selected Hashirama as the First Hokage. There have been six other Hokages that came after Hashirama Senju. I created a list of who I think are the strongest Hokage in order.

7. Kakashi Hatake: 6th Hokage

This is a tough decision that I might regret but he was either going to be in the 5-7 spot on this list. Many would probably have put him in front of Tsunade which I can’t be mad at but for today he’s going to be in the last spot. Kakashi the Copy ninja is one the most skilled shinobi of his time.

6. Tsunade: 5th Hokage

The first Hokage granddaughter, one of the legendary Sanin, and the only female Hokage ever in the Hidden Leaf village. She might be ranked last on this list but in other villages she would be ranked top tier. Tsunade is regarded as the most powerful kunoichi and greatest medical ninja of her time.

5. Hiruzen Sarutobi: 3rd Hokage

“The Professor” from having knowledge about all the Jutsu that exist in Konohagakure. Many claim in his prime that he was stronger than Tobirama but we didn’t get to really see that so based off of what I’ve seen I’ll put him at number 5 on this list.

4. Tobirama Senju: 2nd Hokage

The younger brother of Hashirama was no joke either. I think Tobirama is the most skilled Hokage. He invented the Shadow Clone jutsu, Flying Thunder God Jutsu, and the forbidden Edo Tensei.

The writers really rushed through his character arc which made him look weak but there are certain moments in Naruto Shippuden series when he was on the battlefield you can see the intelligence and strength.

3. Minato Namikaze: 4th Hokage

The Yellow Flash of the Hidden Leaf Village could have probably been either one or two on this list if didn’t sacrifice his life to save his son Naruto and the village. This is the one Hokage on the list that we didn’t get to see maximize their full potential.

During his time no one was faster than Minato and some would argue that no one in the Naruto franchise was faster than him but I would argue adult Naruto surpassed his father in the speed department.

He was the hero of the Third Great Ninja War. He was an one army that could reap up a thousand ninjas. Minato is the most entertaining Hokage of all time. I just wished we would have had more time with him.

2. Hashirama Senju:1st Hokage

Hashirama Senju was known as the God of Shinobi. Like what else do we have to talk about? The first Hokage defeated Madara Uchiha while he possessed Kurama. He was a master of all five nature transformations, but his specialty was his Wood Release Kekkei Genkai. He could heal people without weaving a single sign.

1. Naruto Uzumaki: 7th Hokage

Naruto Uzumaki is the current leader of Hidden Leaf Village and known as the strongest shinobi of all time. There hasn’t been a character in the franchise that has come close to Naruto peak power which is the Baryon mode with Kurama. While he was in Baryon mode he made Isshiki Otsutsuki look like a child. Isshiki Otsutsuki would beat everybody in the Naruto franchise with ease.
