Fans of the beloved anime and manga series “Yu Yu Hakusho” were eagerly awaiting news about the upcoming live-action adaptation, and their excitement reached new heights during Netflix’s global virtual event, Geeked Week.

The teaser trailer provided fans with their first-ever look into the world of “Yu Yu Hakusho” in live-action. As they embarked on their incredible adventures, they were treated to glimpses of iconic characters like Yusuke, Kurama, Hiei, and Kuwabara.

Sei Shiraishi will portray Keiko Yukimura, Yusuke’s childhood friend; Kotone Furukawa will bring Botan, the guide who leads Yusuke to the spirit world, to life; Ai Mikami will play Yukina, a Korime on a quest to find her estranged brother; Hiroya Shimizu will portray Karasu, a dominant yokai who poses a formidable obstacle for Team Yusuke; Keita Machida will bring Koenma, the spirit world detective, to the screen; Meiko Kaji will take on the role of Genkai, the mentor to Yusuke and Kuwabara; Kenichi Takito will embody Elder Toguro, a human turned yokai; Goro Inagaki will portray Sakyo, the enigmatic figure who employs the Toguro Brothers and controls the underworld; and Go Ayano will portray Younger Toguro, the most powerful adversary standing in Team Yusuke’s path.

Fans will not have to wait much longer to embark on this thrilling journey, as “Yu Yu Hakusho” will be available exclusively on Netflix starting from December 14th.
