Netflix announced an August 20, 2026, release date for the fifth and final season of Outer Banks, along with an official premiere date, trailer, and first-look images.
The Pogues will be returning for one more outing, with Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Drew Starkey, Carlacia Grant, Austin North, and Fiona Palomo will be back to play their beloved characters in Outer Banks’ final season.
When Outer Banks season five returns, according to a Netflix description, the Pogues are “on the brink” following JJ’s passing in Morocco.
The crew has also had their precious Blue Crown taken away, and the members are stranded far from home, mourning a lost crew member, yet they are not done facing all kinds of dangers.
It turns out that Chandler Groff is still running loose, while Dalia and her Corsairs are approaching, and Kooks guarantee that the Pogues have no home to return to, leaving them having to turn to instinct, as well as an unholy partnership with Rafe, to survive and remain united.
Their endeavor becomes a race to reclaim their future and win back the liberty they have long fought for; they will have the opportunity to avenge their fallen comrade one last time.
Netflix has given fans their first look at the season with the teaser trailer, which also reveals the August release date.
