Grammy winner Tyla released the third official single, “Is It Love,” from her upcoming second studio album APOP on Thursday, marking another exciting release for the South African artist.
“Is It Love” follows the previously released singles “She Did It Again,” featuring Zara Larsson, and “Chanel.” The track explores whether love can exist without tears, combining the emotional theme with a club-ready beat.
The single also comes with a visually stunning official music video directed by Aerin Moreno, in which Tyla dances in a dissolving apartment, and is watched from the window by a love interest.
Tyla’s music video for “Chanel” also previously offered a subtle hint of the new album’s title in its set design, and in a conversation at the Grammys this year, where she picked up her second award for Best African Music Performance for “PUSH 2 START,” she discussed how the project came together.
“I just knew that as I lived through the making of the album, it was going to fall into place, which it did,” TYLA dished to Rolling Stone. “I feel like I just did something really fresh and so… TYLA.”
The singer celebrated the upcoming release of APOP by hosting a pop-up event in SoHo, New York City, to coincide with her role as the cover star of i-D magazine’s Beauty Zine.
During the album’s rollout, Tyla has already garnered significant attention and acclaim, winning Best Afrobeats Artist and Social Song of the Year at the American Music Awards for “Chanel.”
Additionally, she has been nominated for two 2026 BET Awards, Video of the Year and Viewer’s Choice, for “Chanel,” which will air on June 28.
Tyla also made a memorable appearance at this year’s Met Gala in a custom Valentino dress.
Recently, the artist participated in FIFA World Cup events, where she performed the South African national anthem at the opening ceremony in Mexico City and the official 2026 World Cup single, “Game Time,” with Future, at the Los Angeles opening ceremony.
Tyla is set to perform at the Mawazine Festival in Morocco on Sunday, as well as at the upcoming festivals Afronation in Portugal and Beach Please! In Romania, the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, and the Hellwatt Festival in Italy.
The singer will also be gracing The Today Show’s Citi Concert Series stage on the day of A*POP’s release.

I’ve made $84,000 so far this month working online and I’m a full time student. I’m using an online business opportunity I heard about and I’ve made such great money. It’s really user friendly and I’m just so happy that I found out about it. The potential with this is endless.
