Netflix Renews 'BERLIN' for Highly Anticipated Second Season

Berlin, the compelling Spanish series that captivated the world during its opening week, is set to return with a second season. Fans of the show will be delighted to learn that Pedro Alonso, the charming actor who plays the legendary character Berlin, is ready to lead the gang in a new heist full of mystery, suspense, and, of course, romance.

Alonso will be joined in this highly anticipated second season by recognizable faces who contributed to the original installment’s success. Michelle Jenner, who plays the competent electronic engineer, Keila, will once again contribute her skills to the cast. Tristán Ulloa as Damián, Berlin’s philanthropist professor and confidant, will bring complexity to the tale. Begoña Vargas (renowned for her part in Welcome to Eden) returns as the kamikaze Cameron, living on the brink. The ensemble cast includes Julio Peña Fernández as Berlin’s trusty squire Roi and Joel Sánchez as the determined man of action Bruce.

The first season of Berlin enthralled people throughout the world, making it the most-watched series during its opening week. The show achieved an astounding milestone by reaching the top ten in 91 countries, making it the seventh most-watched non-English language series in Netflix history. With 348 million hours viewed and 53 million total views, Berlin has been in the Top 10 of non-English TV for seven weeks in a row.

Berlin’s popularity is linked to the genius minds behind its creation, Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato, known for their work on previous Netflix hits including La Casa de Papel and Sky Rojo. As the series enters its second season, the excitement is considerable. Filming is slated to begin in 2025, bringing fans yet another spectacular adventure created by the talented combo.
