Netflix Renews “My Life with the Walter Boys” for a Second Season After a Stellar Debut

Netflix has officially announced the renewal of the teen drama series “My Life with the Walter Boys” for a second season, following its successful debut on December 7th, 2023. The show, created, run, and executive produced by Melanie Halsall, has quickly become a global sensation, currently holding the top spot on the Global English Top 10 TV List.

Since its premiere, the series has garnered a remarkable 20.3 million views, making it a streaming favorite in 88 countries. “My Life with the Walter Boys” has not only dominated Netflix but has also gone viral on TikTok, with its hashtag amassing an impressive 800 million views since the show’s first episode.

Melanie Halsall expressed her excitement about the renewal, stating, “I am beyond thrilled that My Life with the Walter Boys has been renewed for a second season. The series is an adaptation of Ali Novak’s popular Wattpad novel, written when Novak was only fifteen, which has amassed over 80 million reads and later turned into a published book.

The heartwarming coming-of-age story follows fifteen-year-old Manhattanite Jackie Howard, who moves to rural Colorado after a tragic accident claims her family. Living with her guardian, Katherine, and her husband George, who are raising ten kids, Jackie navigates the challenges of her new life while grappling with her feelings for two Walter brothers: the reliable and bookish Alex, and the mysterious and troubled Cole.
