North Carolina Nurse Charged For Sexual Acts With An Inmate

A North Carolina woman has been charged with having sexual relations with an inmate, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Jean Rodriguez was a licensed practical nurse who worked for Southern Health Partners, Inc. and provided care to inmates. According to CBS 17, authorities began investigating her in April after another Southern Health Partners employee raised concerns.

After allegedly having sex with a prisoner at the Cumberland County Detention Center, Jean Rodriguez was detained on Thursday and charged with five counts of sexual acts.

Rodriguez is currently being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $250,000 secure bond for each count, which carries a maximum sentence of 88 months in prison.

Rodriguez’s next court appearance is scheduled for May 31st.
