That was the strongest opening week of Rodrigo. The American singer becomes the youngest international artist ever to sell more than 100,000 units in a debut week in the UK since Britney Spears accomplished the feat in 2004 with the album Greatest Hits: My Prerogative.
Every album of Rodrigo becomes No. 1 in the UK with the same regularity. The streak started with the album SOUR in 2021, followed by GUTS in 2023, and is currently ongoing with this album in 2026.
There is success even in the United States. The new album is expected to debut at No. 1 on Billboard 200 with 470,000 units in the opening week, according to HITS Daily Double. The opening week will be Olivia Rodrigo’s biggest debut in the United States.
In the streaming sector, the album became No. 1 on Spotify’s weekly releases charts. After the album, there were ARIRANG at No. 2, Michael Jackson’s Thriller at No. 3, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS at No. 4, ICEMAN at No. 5, Dua Lipa at No. 6, Un Verano Sin Ti at No. 7, The Great Divide at No. 8, The Art of Loving at No. 9, and Bad at No. 10.
The artist Olivia Rodrigo remained No. 1 on Spotify’s global Top Artists chart for seven consecutive days.
