Olivia Rodrigo is speaking out after her song “All-American B—-” was used in a 2025 Department of Homeland Security video promoting self-deportation among undocumented immigrants, calling the video “barbaric” and “cruel.”
In an interview with Dazed, Rodrigo described her reaction to discovering the government had used the track in what she characterized as propaganda.
“It was so deeply disturbing to see that propaganda, and the fact it was my song in there made me feel even more enraged,” Rodrigo said. “What they’re doing is so awful and barbaric and cruel. I am really sad to be in a country that thinks that’s OK.”
