Hulu has renewed its original drama series “Paradise” for a third season, continuing the political thriller’s success as it continues to gain traction in viewership and praise.
The show, produced by 20th Television, continues to gain traction in viewership and praise. The second season has garnered more than 30 million hours viewed to date, and globally, the first two seasons have garnered nearly 12 billion minutes streamed.
The latest season of “Paradise” has garnered 25 million hours in viewership for season one.
The second season of “Paradise” is currently streaming on Hulu in the U.S., Hulu on Disney+ in the U.S. (exclusive to bundle subscribers), and on Disney+ in international markets. The season finale will be available Monday, March 30.
The show is created by Dan Fogelman, whose credits include “This Is Us” and “Only Murders in the Building.” It stars Sterling K. Brown as Agent Xavier Collins.
The first season of “Paradise” garnered four Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, and acting nods for Sterling K. Brown, James Marsden, and Julianne Nicholson.
Brown’s performance in “Paradise” garnered a Golden Globe nomination, a Critics Choice nomination, a Screen Actors Guild nomination, and a win at the NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series.
During season two, Xavier leaves the bunker city of Paradise to search for Teri, learning how people have survived in the three years following a catastrophic event called “The Day.” At the same time, conflict is building inside Paradise, as people grapple with the consequences of events from season one and learn new truths about their city.
Season two boasts a wide array of actors, including Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Krys Marshall, Enuka Okuma, Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV, Charlie Evans, Marsden, Shailene Woodley, Thomas Doherty, and Jon Beavers, with Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, John Hoberg, Brown, Steve Beers, Glenn Ficarra, and John Requa serving as executive producers.
Reviews have been highly positive, giving “Paradise” a 91% “Certified Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while it maintains a spot on Hulu’s Top 15 Today list following the premiere of season two.
