The 2019 NBA Champions describe the Caribbean Heritage Night as a way of paying homage to various cultures of the Caribbean diaspora as a part of our commitment to supporting the Black community. They also want to highlight many people in Toronto and across Canada who migrated from the Caribbean or are of Caribbean descent.
The Soca legend wants to showcase the energy, uniqueness, and warmth of Trinidad and Tobago and the rest of the Caribbean islands. She sees this as an opportunity to reach people who also may be unfamiliar with Soca music.
This first-time experience performing at an event of this nature excites Patrice and lines with her objective to share Soca music with global audiences. She has encouraged the physical and viewing audience to dance, sing, and wave their flags or rags during her high-energy performance. Whether it’s a basketball fan or not, tune in on February 23, 2023, to see Patrice Roberts at the Toronto Raptors Caribbean Night.
