Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., said she would give President Donald Trump an A+ for his Iran policy if he delivers on two promises: total denuclearization and safeguarding maritime corridors for transporting goods. MeidasTouch correspondent Pablo Manriquez reported this.
“On Iran right now, depending on the peace deal, if he gets done what he said he’s going to get done, he’s going to get an A+,” Luna told Manriquez. She noted that achieving complete denuclearization remains the core issue for this grade.
Another one is the need to address what she referred to as “the port situation,” referring to the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic water passage carrying a bulk of global oil, she also pointed out.
“The fact that Russia and Iran are and have an open dialogue with the United States, I think, is instrumental in this process,” she further said.
