Rep. Lauren Boebert Calls Flock Cameras “Horrible,” Says She Wants Them “Out Of Communities Completely”

Rep. Lauren Boebert said Flock cameras are “horrible” and that she wants them out of American communities, telling a reporter that the Fourth Amendment “is not a suggestion and it’s certainly not for sale.”

Boebert made the remarks in an exchange with Pablo Manriquez, a reporter for the MeidasTouch Network, who asked her whether she considered the cameras a good thing or a bad thing.

“They’re horrible,” Boebert said. “Maybe you should go read my op-ed on Daily Caller. I’ve got one out today.”

Manriquez said he had missed the piece and apologized.

“The Fourth Amendment is not a suggestion, and it’s certainly not for sale,” Boebert said.

Asked what she would say to Americans who are cutting the cameras down, Boebert stopped short of endorsing the practice.

“I would never encourage anyone to commit a crime or destroy property,” she said. “But also, I’m doing everything that I can to ensure that, of course, there’s no federal funding. And I would love for them to be out of communities completely.”

Manriquez then asked whether her message to the company’s chief executives was to get out of communities completely.

“Yeah. It’s a horrible business plan,” Boebert said. “I mean, partnering with governments and using tax dollars. You know, I mean, who’s really in charge of the data? It’s a private company that these local, state, potentially federal governments are partnering with.”

Manriquez thanked her, and the exchange ended.
