Congresswoman Lauren Boebert refused to disclose who could become the 218th signer of the discharge petition to pass the Epstein Files Transparency Act II bill, and she turned to Democrats who weren’t ready to sign yet.
In the video clip, Pablo Manriquez of MeidasTouch Network asked Boebert, “Do you think he’ll be the 218th on the FC files discharge petition?”
“We’ll see. We’ll see,” Boebert said. “We don’t even have all the Democrats yet. Why don’t you also talk to them? Y’all gotta get them going.”
“I think all the Democrats are on board at this point, though,” said Manriquez.
“But they’re not signed on,” Boebert argued.
After the “Thank you,” someone responded: “Because it was Ralph Norman was 217th.” And the video clip concludes with the question, “Can I meet the little guy?”
The bill, introduced by Representative Thomas Massie, is an amendment to the original 2025 bill, which passed with nearly unanimous votes. The amendment would give victims, states, and Congress the right to sue the Justice Department for hiding or redacting the remaining documents related to Epstein.
Lauren Boebert was one of the signers of the first successful discharge petition in 2025. Now, the second petition has more than 100 signatures but lacks more Republican support to hold a vote in the House.
