Rep. Yassamin Ansari Rips Networks: We Shouldn’t Give “Attention to Donald Trump’s B*llshit”

Democrat Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari has a message for television networks regarding President Donald Trump’s expected speech scheduled for Thursday: Don’t even bother.

In an interview with MeidasTouch Network reporter Pablo Manriquez, Rep. Ansari slammed both the president and media outlets, which she believes give him too much exposure. Ansari claims that while networks ignore the fact of Trump’s mental decline, they probably will air his statements, which are most likely going to be yet another series of lies about the election.

The interviewer asked simply about Trump’s speech on Thursday.

“Congresswoman, Donald Trump is having a speech on Thursday where people expect him to just kind of repeat a lot of the same lies about elections and January 6th and all the rest that he’s lied about in the past. Do you think that the networks have a responsibility to maybe like think twice before they just air Donald Trump lying about our elections?” the interviewer asked.

Ansari didn’t waste time getting to her point.

“Yeah, I mean, first of all, it’s absolutely ridiculous that Donald Trump is still focused on the 2020 election. I just can’t believe that we’re still talking about this. And he’s so obsessed with rigging the midterms and knows how unpopular he is,” she said.

From there, Ansari proceeded to the subject she believes networks ignore.

“When it comes to legacy media, I think that I’ve been really concerned that there has not been more coverage about Donald Trump’s cognitive decline. He is falling asleep every single day, practically in meetings, whether he’s in the White House or abroad on a foreign policy trip. He is not competent. He’s unwell. He is up at all hours of the night posting AI, like sometimes he posts dozens of things per night. The networks are barely covering this. And to me, this shows the corruption that’s happening within media,” Ansari said.

She wasn’t done naming names.

“We know that, you know, CBS, for example, is one that is already compromised and that Donald Trump has a lot of control over. I think, you know, Fox News, of course, has been a puppet of the Republican Party. And then now there’s, you know, CNN being, you know, taken over as well. I think this is very concerning. And I think that we should not be giving attention to Donald Trump’s bullshit,” she said.

Then came the challenge to her Republican colleagues, tied directly to Trump’s expected remarks in Georgia.

“And if he truly comes out this week and says what people have said he’s going to say about Georgia and about the senators there who are Democrats, of course, if Republicans don’t stand up to him in this moment and finally say that enough is enough and you are trying to be authoritarian, that they have completely abdicated their responsibility. And I think all should be for the new office,” Ansari said.
