Over the weekend, a Louisiana teen was arrested after allegedly shooting his stepfather during an argument about washing the dishes.
18-year-old Sha’mikel Jones got arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated battery in connection with the shooting at a Shreveport home on Sunday, according to KSLA.
Around 10:30 that morning, according to the outlet, police responded to calls reporting a shooting on Melrose Street.
When they arrived, they discovered that Jones had shot his stepfather in the leg with a shotgun because he had refused to assist with the dishes and room cleaning.
After receiving hospital treatment, the unnamed stepfather is reportedly making a full recovery. A man and a woman were also questioned about the incident.
Jones had not been released on bail as of Tuesday morning.
