Shaun King has been accused of stealing again.
King made a tweet today about the founders of America being slave owners.
He tweeted a demographic about one of the most famous paintings in American history: Declaration of Independence.
The red dots in painting showed the slaveholders. The ones who didn’t have a red dot actually stood by what Independence Day was supposed to mean for America.

King implied that he is an historian and has degrees from undergraduate and graduate for history. He also wanted to teach everyone something. He’s making it seem like he created this picture and really did the research to point out the slave owners.
It turns that King stole the tweet from Arlen Parsa. On September 1st, 2019, Parsa tweeted the same graphic and another graphic with yellow dots showing the men who weren’t slave owners.
The founders with red dots are the slaveholders. The founders in yellow are the only ones who freed all the people they held.
Thomas Jefferson, who wrote the Declaration of Independence, raped one of the women he enslaved.

Parsa called Shaun King out on Twitter for not crediting him.
Social Media is currently shredding Shaun King:

shaun king taking credit from someone else, what has the world come to

This is so on brand for Shaun King. He’s been taking credit for Black women’s work for YEARS.
Notice how SK references his history training so you will infer that he created the image when he knows he didn’t and that any purported history training is irrelevant.
Shady shady. https://t.co/DFXpmjsKD7
