The trailer for the horror movie “Bloody Tennis” has been released, just before its launch on the Shudder streaming platform on September 25.
Directed and written by Nikias Chryssos, this 2026 English-language film centers on Sophie, a talented young tennis player who is admitted to a prestigious tennis academy deep in Southern Europe. She will be forced not only to compete fiercely but also to face the institute’s growing evil.
What was supposed to be a rite of passage turns into a nightmarish experience, and Sophie must choose between her aspiration for success and maintaining close relationships with her friends and lovers. At this point, she must choose between becoming the tennis player she’s always wanted to be and preserving her humanity.
The combination of elite sports with psychedelic trips and grotesque humor makes up the unique universe of extreme ambitions, vampire leeches, powerful serves, and vivid nightmares.
The cast of characters includes Sandra Guldberg Kampp, Elina Löwensohn, Tracy Gotoas, Helena Zengel, Zlatko Burić, Lily Taïeb, Juliana Vieira Guerra, Lucie Zhang, and Vincent Romeo.
