The Academy Award-winning actress announced she is expecting a baby by sharing a video on Instagram on Friday, June 19. Anne Hathaway donned a long, loose white gown and appeared to grin at the camera, dropping her arms and showcasing a prominent baby bump before walking off as “Baby I’m Yours” by Barbara Lewis streamed over the top of the video.
“x Baby, I’m yours x,” read the Instagram caption on her post.
On the day of her pregnancy announcement, a barrage of fans flocked to social media to congratulate and shower her with support:
The big news from Hathaway, 43, comes as she and her husband, Adam Shulman, 45, are already parents to sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6. They have been married since 2012.
Photos obtained by TMZ at the time featured the family on vacation at the beach, where the “Devil Wears Prada” actress’ baby bump was also visible.
“I didn’t feel fully landed and fully here until I was born,” she explained to WSJ Magazine in 2022 about how motherhood affected her life. “It’s not like I was lacking integrity, but it made me want to be completely, on every level, true to my word.”
Hathaway has an incredibly busy schedule, as she currently has a trio of anticipated projects, “The Odyssey,” “Mother Mary,” and “The End of Oak Street,” all slated to hit theaters sometime this year.
