Sofia Carson (Purple Hearts) and Danielle Deadwyler (The Harder They Fall, the upcoming Till) have joined Taron Egerton and Jason Bateman in the cast of the Netflix and Amblin Partners film Carry-On.
Jaume Collet-Serra is the director. Script by TJ Fixman, with additional writing by Michael Green.
Holly Bario, Amblin’s President of Production, will oversee the project on behalf of the studio. Brian Williams via Dylan Clark Productions, Scott Greenberg, and Seth William Meier serve as executive producers. Dylan Clark is a producer.
The thriller centers around Ethan Kopek, a young TSA agent who gets blackmailed by a mysterious traveler to let a dangerous package slip through security and onto a Christmas Day flight.
Carry-On is the first film to be produced as part of the deal announced between Netflix and Amblin Partners.
