A racist and former University of Kentucky student Sophia Rosing, who was caught on video calling another student racial slurs and kicking her, has been indicted on multiple counts, according to Baller Alert.
Sophia Rosing went viral last year (November 6th, 2022) after a video surfaced online of her physically abusing and calling another student, Kylah Spring, the n-word multiple times.
Spring, a work-study student at the University of Kentucky, was working the overnight shift at the front desk of Boyd Hall when the incident with Rosing occurred. The racist student looked drunk out of her mind. Spring claimed that she called a resident advisor to check on Rosing, and that’s when she became violent while calling her the n-word many times.
When the university police arrived on the scene, Rosing’s behavior didn’t get any better. She wasn’t complying with some of the police orders. Rosing reportedly didn’t have any identification on her during the incident, and when police asked her name, she wouldn’t provide the officer with it. She also got accused of kicking and biting the officer while she was being handcuffed.
After the incident, the University of Kentucky banned her from their campus and let the public know that she would not be allowed to re-enroll in any courses in the future in a statement.
“Ms. Rosing is no longer a student at the University of Kentucky,” University President Eli Capilouto said. “Within hours of learning about this incident, we suspended her on an interim basis – a move that banned her from campus during our investigation. I have also determined that she will not be eligible to re-enroll as a student. She is permanently banned from the campus.”
She also became jobless after the incident. Rosing got relieved of her duties at Dillard’s department store and being a student influencer.
Rosing also lost two jobs due to the incident, one with Dillard’s department store and another as a student influencer.
Fast forward to February 2023, Sophia Rosing got indicted by a grand jury on three counts of fourth-degree assault and one count each of third-degree assault of a police officer, second-degree disorderly conduct, and alcohol intoxication.
Rosing will get arraigned on these charges on March 17th.
