Sky Kids has announced two captivating animated series set to grace screens later this year – Happy Town and Let’s Go, Bananas! Narrated by the iconic Mel B, Happy Town introduces viewers to Pep and Tabitha, an endearing hedgehog and ladybird duo embarking on problem-solving adventures in a unique and charming community. The town’s radiance is tied to the joy of its residents, prompting the dynamic duo to spread kindness and encourage community engagement whenever the light begins to dim.
Mel B expressed her excitement, saying, “This is a huge moment for me to be the voice of Happy Town for Sky Kids – my first time as a narrator.” The Spice Girl added, “I’m totally in love with this gorgeous Sky Kids show. At its heart is fun, adventure, and great entertainment – just like me really!”
Joining the lineup is Let’s Go, Bananas!, a lively animated comedy created and written by Tim Bain, known for his work on Bluey and PJ Masks. The series revolves around three neighboring animal families, weaving a feel-good narrative that celebrates diverse family structures and the delightful chaos that comes with them.
Lucy Murphy, Director of Sky Kids, highlighted the positivity and creative encouragement found in Happy Town, praising Mel B’s narration for encapsulating the show’s vibrancy. Murphy also expressed delight in working with Tim Bain on Let’s Go Bananas, noting its humorous exploration of different family dynamics.
Sky Kids aims to keep young minds inspired and entertained, offering a wealth of Sky Original content on the ad-free linear channel and on-demand. The addition of partner channels like Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon enhances the diverse viewing experience for children.
These animated delights are just a glimpse of the exciting originals lined up for 2024 on Sky, promising powerful stories and memorable characters that will captivate audiences and spark conversations nationwide. Don’t miss the vibrant lineup unfolding on Sky Kids this year!
