YouTube sensation Alia Shelesh, who goes by the username SSSniperWolf, found herself in yet another controversy amid the ongoing legal dispute with her ex-partner, Evan “Sausage” Young, after she commented “Brainwashed fr” on a post about him.
This response was interpreted as a shot at Young when he continues to pursue the case, during which the ex demands half of her property, a cut of her income, and some control over her 35-million-subscriber channel. Although several cases have been solved, the trial is expected to continue through 2026.
Shelesh and Young met online while gaming in 2013. The ex-partner actively assisted in developing the channel, allegedly helping Shelesh edit videos, write scripts, play games, and serve as the on-screen face. Over time, the couple faced several conflicts and even cheating allegations, finally tying the knot in 2021 but separating in 2022.
Her response did not take long to elicit comments pointing to Young’s contribution to her rise to fame.
“The only reason she ever got into YouTube is that her boyfriend moved her in with him after they met on an online game, financed their entire life for months with his savings, and played video games for her, while she was the face of the channel,” one user commented on the matter.
Another follower shared this opinion: “He is literally the whole reason she got famous,” while accusing her of hypocrisy since, according to reports, Shelesh had publicly condemned GirlGoneGamer for staging videos in the past.
