Stephen Urueye worked hard for seven years to save lives only to be failed by a government who has refused to secure the life of its citizens. He was killed yesterday and there are reports of robbery in hostels too on convocation day.

Medical students and doctors from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, are protesting the death of Dr. Stephen Urueye, who was stabbed to death a day after he convocated at the University of Lagos, UNILAG.

Stephen was stabbed multiple times the day after he graduated from Lagos University. Students are demanding more security for themselves to prevent these tragedies from happening.

Gbadebo Jimoh and Malik Adeboye have been arrested and here are their faces. They were paraded by police in association with the murder of Dr. Stephen.

Both suspects were said to have specialised in snatching phones, money and other valuables in the idi-araba area, where the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) is located.
