SZA’s “SOS” album is projected to return to #1 in the US for an 8th week, with a further 94.8K units earned, HITSDD reports.

It would mark the first album by a woman to spend eight weeks at #1 since Taylor Swift’s ‘folklore’ in 2020.

“SOS” is now eligible for 2x Platinum in the U.S. for selling over 2 million total units since its release.

The album is the first album in history to chart ten songs simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for seven consecutive weeks.

“SOS” is still doing excellent on streaming platforms. “Kill Bill” spent a 35th day at #1 on the US Spotify Chart, with over 2.25 million streams. She surpassed 68 million Spotify monthly listeners for the first time in her career.

While “SOS” is surpassing expectations, SZA’s debut album “Ctrl” is still cementing history five years since its release. The album is the 8th female album in history to spend 295 weeks on the Billboard 200, this week at #20.

SZA has now officially sold over 55.5 million certified units in the U.S.

SZA also rewrote history with streaming platforms. Her hit song, “Kill Bill,” becomes the first solo song by a black woman to spend 25 days at #1 on the US Spotify chart. It’s the first solo song by a black woman to spend 20 days at #1 on the global Apple Music chart.

While ‘SOS’ is doing tremendously well, SZA’s debut album “Ctrl” becomes the first album by a black female artist in history to spend 290 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200.
