First-look images are now available for NBC’s newly announced comedy, Newlyweds, starring Téa Leoni and Tim Daly as leads. The series will premiere this Friday, October 23, at 8:30 PM ET/PT on NBC. The episodes will then become available on Peacock the next day.
The multi-camera series tells the story of a late-life romance, with Leoni as the free-spirited Jeanie and Daly as the straight-laced professor James. These characters impulsively decide to get married after a fast-paced love affair.
Gail Lerner created the show in collaboration with Jamie Lee Curtis. Curtis also serves as showrunner and executive producer.
Eric and Kim Tannenbaum and Jason Wang serve as executive producers, along with Scott Schwartz and Lionsgate Television, on behalf of The Tannenbaum Company. Pam Fryman directed the pilot and acted as an executive producer on that episode.
Other cast members include Emma Meisel, Ignacio Diaz-Silverio, Bill O’Neill, and Al Madrigal.
Newlyweds is a Universal Television production and part of Universal Studio Group.
