Mahershala Ali is having one hell of a month. His movie Alita: Battle Angel is currently sitting at number two in the Box Office behind How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. The movie deputed at number one it’s first week out.
Ali, just won his second Oscar ever last night for his performance in the GreenBook. Mahershal Ali has joined an exclusive group for winning multiple Oscars in the span of four years or less has only happened eleven times before. He became the only the second person of color to win multiple Academy Awards for acting. The only other non-white actor who won multiple Oscars over the near-century of ceremonies is Denzel Washington, who won for his supporting role in 1989’s Glory and leading role in Training Day.

Ali, also stars in this season HBO hit show True Detective. Which is getting great reviews from critics, he will possibly be in discussion for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie in September.
