The official trailer and poster for season 2 of Vampirina: Teenage Vampire premiered on Tuesday.
Kenzi Richardson, known for her role in the Aquamarine TV pilot, stars as Vee, who is edgy and adorable. Jiwon Lee plays Sophie, Vee’s sweet roommate, and a fan of everything girl. Shaun Dixon plays Elijah, an interesting, laid-back student. Milo Maharlika will portray Demi, a 600-year-old ghost, while Faith Hedley plays Britney, a legacy student with exceptional talent.
Recurring guest stars in the second season include Jodie Sweetin, best known for Full House, and Ava Jean from Camp Rock 3. Hudson Stone, who starred in Camp Rock 3 and the Mickey Mouse Club pilot and is signed to Hollywood Records, will also be a guest star. Kim Coles from Living Single returns as Dean Merriweather.
The new show draws on a beloved book saga and Disney Junior’s record-breaking Vampirina. It tells the story of a tween vampire who goes from Transylvania to a performing arts boarding school to pursue her dream of becoming a musician, while keeping her vampiric heritage under wraps.
Last season ended with Vee performing in front of the whole school, including her idol Millie Eyelash. She also accidentally released the horde of monsters that were locked up in the mirror world. In season 2, Vee and her friends return to Wilson Hall with their musical goals while figuring out how true the prophecy is that says Vee and Elijah will never be together.
Dan Cross and David Hoge, who created the acclaimed Julie and the Phantoms, are showrunners and executive producers. Executive producers are Tim Federle, creator of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Bronwyn North-Reist, and Meg Deloatch from Family Reunion. Randi Barnes developed the musical series.
Season 2 will premiere October 6th on Disney Channel and will be available on Disney+ the following day.
