Tudum Recap: Everything You Missed From Netflix English TV and Films

Welcome to Tudum: A Netflix Global Fan Event 2022, an exciting day of exclusive news, never-before-seen footage, trailers, and first looks, as well as interviews with Netflix’s biggest stars and creators. The free virtual event is a celebration of Netflix fandom and is dedicated to sharing the scoop on over 120 fan-favorite shows, films, specials, and games from across the globe. 

  • At 11:00 am KST (7:00 pm PT September 23), Tudum kicks off with an exciting show out of Korea.
  • At 11:00 am IST (10:30 pm PT, September 23), fans will be treated to a fun look at what’s ahead from India.
  • At 10 am PT, Tudum kicks off as a two-part show with Part 1 out of the United States and Europe, and Part 2 at 11:30 am PT out of Latin America, including surprises from other countries. 
  • At 1:00 pm JST September 25 (9:00 pm PT September 24), our stars from Japan will close out Tudum with a celebration of our Japanese entertainment. 

Tudum: A Netflix Global Fan Event will be available across Netflix YouTube channels around the globe in 29 different languages, including YouTube.com/Netflix. Host Jamie Foxx welcomed fans to the Netflix stage for the next portion of Tudum: A Netflix Global Fan Event and kicked off the show by throwing to co-host Millie Bobby Brown who shared an exclusive look at Enola Holmes 2.

Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan, and Alia Bhatt introduced a behind-the-scenes look at Heart of Stone, with star and producer Gadot telling fans, “Rachel Stone lives off the adrenaline, she’s addicted to it.”

Luke Newton (“Colin Bridgerton”) and Claudia Jessie (“Eloise Bridgerton”) painted the town red — so to speak — answering how the siblings “truly see each other” and other questions about their Bridgerton characters, plus a surprise visit from Nicola Coughlan (“Penelope Featherington”) with Season 3’s script for episode 301, “Out of the Shadows.”

Adjoa Andoh (“Lady Danbury”) and Golda Rosheuvel (“Queen Charlotte”) from Bridgerton introduced India Amarteifio as “Young Queen Charlotte” and revealed a never-before-seen still of her in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.

In a Tudum surprise, producer and writer Shonda Rhimes presented a clip from Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story featuring Amarteifio and Corey Mylchreest as “Young King George” in their first encounter.

Patrick Gibson (“Nikolai Lantsov”), Jack Wolfe (“Wylan Hendricks”), Anna Leong Brophy (“Tamar Kir-Bataar”), Lewis Tan (“Tolya Yul-Bataar”) along with Ben Barnes (“General Kirigan/The Darkling”) and Jessie Mei Li (“Alina Starkov”) presented fans with a look at Shadow and Bone Season 2.

The Crown Season 5’s teaser introduces Princess Diana (Elizabeth Debicki) and Prince Charles (Dominic West)  — as we reveal, fans can finally see a new season of the series on November 9. To preview this title and more, watch the full Tudum event. 

Tudum host Maitreyi Ramakrishnan from Never Have I Ever found the Emily in Paris cast in Paris; Lily Collins (“Emily”), Ashley Park (“Mindy”), Camille Razat (“Camille”), Lucas Bravo (“Gabriel”) Lucien Laviscount (“Alfie”) Bruno Gouery (“Luc”) Samuel Arnold (“Julien”) and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (“Sylvie”) are ready for all Emily’s hair-raising adventures in Season 3.

From the Rome set of The Old Guard 2, fans received greetings from Chiwetel Ejiofor (“Copley”), Kiki Layne (“Nile”), Luca Marinelli (“Nicky”), Marwan Kenzari (“Joe”), and star and producer Charlize Theron (“Andy”).

Jenna Ortega (“Wednesday Addams”) debuted a scene from the upcoming Wednesday.

Melissa Roxburgh (“Michaela Stone”) and Josh Dallas (“Ben Stone”) gave the all-clear for Manifest’s final descent for Season 4 on its new home at Netflix.

Jamie Foxx returned to introduce the showrunners of 3 Body Problem, D.B. Weiss, David Benioff, and Alexander Woo wowed fans and talent alike with their behind-the-scenes featurette. To preview this title and more, watch the full Tudum event. 

Jason Momoa (“Flip”) skated through everyone’s sleep in a sassy Slumberland clip.

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan (“Devi”), Jaren Lewison (“Ben”), and Darren Barnet (“Paxton”) find out there is going to be a new face on Never Have I Ever when Michael Cimino (“Ethan”) calls the crew on the set of Season 4.

The Umbrella Academy stars Aidan Gallagher (“Five”), Emmy Raver-Lampman (“Allison”), David Castañeda (“Diego”), Justin H. Min (“Ben”), Tom Hopper (“Luther”) and Genesis Rodriguez (“Sloane”) gave fans a glimpse of their backstage fun with a new blooper reel.

Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher are on the line for next Valentine’s Day with their new rom-com Your Place or Mine.

Guillermo del Toro gave a behind-the-scenes tour of his stop-motion production Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio.

Back on the Tudum stage during the preview of the Latin American and Spain portion of the show, Noah Centineo revealed the name of his new series coming later this year, The Recruit, and La Casa de Papel fans also got a special peek of Álex Pina’s new spin-off, Berlin, which also stars Pedro Alonso. Read more about The Recruit on Tudum.

Kid Cudi sat down with executive producer Kenya Barris to talk about their upcoming animated love story Entergalactic.

LeBron James introduced a new Olympic basketball documentary, The Redeem Team, featuring Dwyane Wade, Pau Gasol, Chris Bosh, and Carmelo Anthony. Please note this video contains adult language.

Jennifer Lopez is ready for action as The Mother launches in spring 2023 in this new teaser.

You introduced new characters with its new location in England as Penn Badgley led fans through the changes that await Joe in Season 4 in a brief vignette.

Based on a true story, Naomi Watts (“Nora Brannock”) and Bobby Cannavale (“Dean Brannock”) find their new home comes equipped with a stranger obsessed with their house — and the residents within it — in the trailer for the new limited series The Watcher.

Next up for Tudum, The Witcher: Blood Origin cast members Sophia Brown (“Éile”), Laurence O’Fuarain (“Fjall”), and Michelle Yeoh (“Scian”) introduced our brand new prequel to The Witcher with some fun facts, revealed a new cast member (Minnie Driver) and announced the launch date of December 25.

Chris Hemsworth (“Tyler Rake”) presented a behind-the-scenes look at landing a helicopter on a train during the production of Extraction 2 with director Sam Hargrave.

The action kept coming from the Tudum stage with an exclusive clip from Season 2 of Vikings: Valhalla.

Emily Beecham, Aneurin Barnard, Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Miguel Bernardeau, Andreas Pietschmann, Maciej Musial, and more announced the premiere date for the chilling new series 1899.

Back on the Tudum stage, host Jamie Foxx introduced his next film, They Cloned Tyrone, a “mind-bending mystery caper” that Foxx costars in with John Boyega and Teyonah Parris.

Henry Cavill (“Geralt”) was next to grace the Tudum stage, introducing a behind-the-scenes segment from The Witcher with Freya Allan (“Ciri”) and Anya Chalotra (“Yennefer”).

Omar Sy is back in a teaser for Lupin Part 3.

Squid Game cast members Oh Young-soo (“Oh Il-nam”), Lee Jung-Jae (“Seong Gi-hun”), Park Hae-soo (“Cho Sang-woo”), Anupam Tripathi (“Abdul Ali”), and writer and director Hwang Dong-hyuk again joined the Tudum stage and presented an unreleased clip from Season 1.

Fans also got a sample of the Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area Part 2 segment from Korea. Be sure to catch the whole Tudum event on YouTube for the entire video. 

Tudum host Jamie Foxx has the latest in Netflix mobile games, including a new edition of the worldwide sensation OXENFREE: Netflix Edition, now available in over 30 languages — without ads or in-app purchases. Also coming soon is Desta: The Memories Between, SpongeBob Squarepants Get Cooking!, Compass Point: West, Stranger Things: Puzzle Games, Nailed It Baking Bash, Narcos: Cartel Wars Unlimited, Kentucky Route Zero, and Triviaverse.

James Marsden (“Steve Woods/Ben Woods”) shared a sneak peek of the final season of Dead to Me.

Maite Perroni was next on the Tudum stage previewing the Latin America and Spain portion of the show, including looks at Elite, Belascoarán, A través del mar, Tríada, Matrimillas, La Firma, Carga Máxima, El Amor Después Del Amor, Depois Do Universo, El Reino, Casamento às Cegas, El Elegido, and Ardiente Paciencia.  

Tobie Donovan (“Isaac”) from Heartstopper unveiled the new Heartstopper profile icons for members. Swoon.

Director Rian Johnson presented the new teaser for Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

Outer Banks cast members Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Drew Starkey, and Carlacia Grant are ready for Season 3 in this teaser.

The School for Good and Evil is ready for its next class as Kerry Washington (“Professor Dovey”) and Charlize Theron (“Lady Lesso”) welcome students Sophia Anne Caruso (“Sophie”) and Sofia Wylie (“Agatha”) to their school in this extended look.

Tudum host Millie Bobby Brown ended the show by throwing to her Stranger Things castmates Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Priah Ferguson, Gaten Matarazzo, Joe Keery, Joseph Quinn, and David Harbour one last time for a round of trivia questions and Season 4 outtakes to close out this part of today’s event.
