Twitch streamer PlaqueBoyMax provided his thoughts on the issue of whether it is more difficult to earn money from streaming than from having a steady 9-to-5 career. He believes that getting an established streaming career is more challenging than working at a regular job.
“They each have their own harder,” he stated. “It’s harder to make it in streaming, 100%.”
He did not refute the difficulties associated with such jobs as office politics and mental strain. “9 to 5 is mentally taxing on some. Like, I might not want to do this today. I don’t like my coworkers, stuff like that,” he added.
However, the host emphasized that these difficulties pale in comparison to the challenges of becoming an established creator in a saturated market.
“Go try to be a streamer and try to blow up,” he said. “There’s millions of people that are currently trying to stream.”
PlaqueBoyMax also mentioned the difficulty caused by the current economic situation. “The job market is crazy,” he acknowledged, but again stated that even 9-to-5 jobs are not a surefire way out.
PlaqueBoyMax was confident. “Making it in streaming is harder than how mentally taxing a 9-to-5 is.”
