That Magic Moment.

Uyoata Udi described one of his favorite memories on the set of Hulu’s Wu-Tang: An American Saga as being defined by these three words. If fans or audiences ever wondered if the chemistry they see between the actors on Hulu’s hottest hip hop series was genuine, they can be rest assured that the cast is truly like a family behind the scenes as well.

Seven new episodes have been released on Hulu’s streaming platform of the newest season of Wu-Tang: An American Saga. Every week at midnight on Wednesday, fans have been tuned in to catch the latest episode and wait in anticipation for the new one next week. While Wu-Tang Saga fans are eager to see how the brotherhood continues to develop between their favorite characters and answer any burning questions this newest season, Uyoata Udi was eager for an entirely different reason. Fans noticed a major change in the cast line-up for this season, Uyoata Udi made his debut performance as “Rebel/Inspectah Deck” while replacing an American rapper as the former character that fans were expecting to see.

Joey Bada$$ was cast as the initial “Rebel/Inspectah Deck” in the first season of Wu-Tang: An American Saga. Despite some fans of the rapper and show originally tuning in to catch this artist on the show, there has been massive praise on Uyoata Udi’s debut performance on the show portraying the iconic rapper. Regardless of any chemistry that had been established between the cast of Wu-Tang: An American sage before Udi became a part of the family, they welcomed him in with positive energy that contributed to them having their magic moment while filming.

Uyoata Udi was determined to capture the true essence of “Inspectah Deck” and portray his natural authenticity. Although he hasn’t had the chance to formally meet with the real New York rapper (but an interesting fact that fans don’t know is that he has meet the former President Barack Obama and lost his camera with all the footage), he was able to discuss with Rebel anything ranging from rumors on how he got his iconic name to advice for portraying his life on the show. Udi jokingly spilled all the rumors he had formally heard about how Inspectah Deck got his name ranging from him “decking” a man to more, but Rebel told him the inspiration for his name was everything far from that. The exclusive truth to how he got his iconic name? Surprisingly, “Inspectah Deck” simply originated because of a tagging name from his graffiti in Brooklyn.

Fans watching the recent episodes might think the graffiti done by Uyoata Udi might be just graphics uploaded into the show, that’s actually real graffiti done by Udi. In preparation for those scenes, he had only a few lessons to learn the skillful art of Brooklyn graffiti which was entirely different from what he used to do in his hometown Inglewood, California. That was one of the most “spontaneous” scenes that didn’t challenge but motivated Udi to a different level while portraying “Inspectah Deck”. Regardless of the pressure that may have been placed on Udi to capture Rebel accurately, he has made his presence known that he’s a force to be reckoned with.

Make sure to catch the newest episode this upcoming Wednesday at midnight on Hulu.
