A woman posted a TikTok video highlighting the idea that dating apps can cause relationships to break up, since people might never have met each other without them.
“My hot take is that I don’t think a lot of things work out on dating apps because you wouldn’t naturally cross paths with that person in real life, and it’s like forced intimacy,” says the TikTok user (@cayseeeeeeee).
She believes that random encounters are the best way to begin a relationship.
“I think we’re naturally supposed to cross paths in real life, and if there’s a spark from natural interactions, that’s how you should begin dating,” she states.
She wonders how many people really use the apps.
“I think it’s so crazy that dating apps are as successful as they are because there’s no way it’s a high success rate,” she says.
The user admits that she does not have any experience using the apps.
“I don’t know. I’ve never been on a dating app. So this is a hot take from someone that has no experience,” she says. “That’s my two cents.”

I make over $220 an hour while working from home and looking after my two kids. I was hesitant at first, but when my friend, who earns more than $35,000 a month, encouraged me to try it, I went for it. It’s been amazing! I have more time and money than I ever thought possible. Want to see how?
